• February's theme for the weekly group is Astronomy.  We'll learn about the solar system, planets, and stars.  We are going to experiment with a new style to our group this month; instead of separating the rooms into older and younger, we are going to set up "stations" of hands on learning projects in relation to the theme and see if the children respond well to this new approach.

• Friday February 24th fieldtrip (open to all homeschooling families) to the Christa McAuliffe Planetarium in concord NH.  For information or to register, please email methuenhomeschoolers@yahoo.com or call Stephanie at 978-681-6569.  $5 per person (2 and under free), includes exhibits, planetarium show, and a nasa trained educational resource consultant for parents interested (including some free educational materials).
